I'm a Hacker - an Ikea Hacker

Don't be out of the loop - check out one of the coolest blogs since sliced bread (besides this one of course!): http://ikeahacker.blogspot.com/

The concept: buy something at Ikea, change it up, post pictures and instructions to ikeahacker@gmail.com, wait 5-7 days, and tada! - it gets posted to the blog.  Don't believe me?  Check out my hack: http://ikeahacker.blogspot.com/2010/12/love-notes-xoxo-chalkboard-cookbook.html.  A few days after my posting appeared on their website, 3 other sites also picked it up:
  1. http://diy.blogdig.net/
  2. http://article.feedznow.com
  3. http://blog.furnitureandlivingrooms.com
And just like that, I'm an internet star!  Well, sort of.

Here are some of my other Ikea Hacks that will be posted on the site over the next few months:

Rhinestone Pillows

Tools Bowl

Chandelier ...in progress

The chandelier pieces laid out

The votive candle holders I made using the light shades from the original Ikea TIDIG lamp and some heart-shaped rhinestone stickers

LOVE NOTES XOXO Chalkboard Organizer

♥ Happy Hacking fellow crafters.
And as always,  I ♥ Do ♥ It ♥ Well.
Love, Christin
